Fuse Nail Polish

Recently, I recieved a couple polishes of Fuse nail polish to swatch and review. Carolyn and Nefertiti, the two sides of Fuse, sent me 'Zombie Snot' and 'Red Delicious'. Fuse Nail Polish is a 3-free indie brand.

ZOMBIE SNOT
This clear base polish is LOADED with matte black circle glitters, with a dash of hex glitters in bright green and lime green. I layered just ONE coat of 'Zombie Snot' over Wet n Wild 'Caribbean Frost'. The teal color contrasted with the neon green hexes and really brought them out! Application was very smooth and easy. I did have to fish for the green glitters at first, but after a quick bottle shake, the glitters were re-distributed and easy to catch.

RED DELICIOUS
'Red Delicious' has a slightly tinted red base packed with gold, magenta, and red hex glitters. This polish could twist any mani! I think this polish has the possibility to look great as a topper to a large spectrum of different colors. To show this, I added a coat of 'Red Delicious' over black, as well as a coat over China Glaze 'Merry Berry'. When layered over black, it gives off a sense of attitude and power! I absolutely love it over black!

Iron Man 3

So it is no secret that I absolutely love superheroes! In honor of Iron Man 3, I decided to do Iron Man nails.

I got this idea from www.polishbabble.blogspot.com who did this mani when Iron man 2 came out.

For the ring finger I painted the Iron Man Mask using Color Club 'Red-ical Gypsy' and Essie 'Good As Gold'. For the middle finger and pinky I used Zoya 'Storm' as the background as Essie 'As Good As Gold' for the lettering. My favorite parts of my mani were my ring finger and thumb. This was the first time I tried to draw something so small with so much detail!

I was extremely happy with how they came out! It saddened me when I had to take them off today. But, you can expect that I will be doing more superhero nailart soon! If you have any suggestions for superheroes (or any suggestions at all) just comment below(:

Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice

I am participating in one of the many "April Nail Challenges" on Instagram. This one is hosted by IG user @here4nails.

Day 1s theme is "Sugar, Spice and Everything Nice". I figured that a lot of girls would to either candies or Powerpuff Girls. Not wanting to do exactly what all the other girls do, I took my own spin on this mani. My nails were in fact PowerPuff Girl themes, but instead of painting the girls, this is what I did:

I was pretty proud of these. What do you think?

Animal Print Nails

The only animal print I've done before is cheetah print. I decided to change that yesterday. This is the mani I came up with:

Now a better picture (with better clean-up). Unfortunately, one of the studs fell off and I hadn't noticed until after I took the picture.

Even with the missing stud, i was very proud of these. They only took me about 20 minutes to finish(: What's your inner animal?

Monthly Mani Favorites

Yesterday, among all the easter madness, many instagrammers were posting their "Monthly Mani Favorites". This month i did not do much nail art, but the few that I did, I absolutely loved! I also ended up swatching quite a few of my un-trieds. Here are my monthly favorites:

MimisWeeklyNails 'Monthly Mani Favorites'

Starting from the top, going clockwise:

--Simple tape mani using Hard Candy 'Beetle' and Color Club 'In the Limelight' and 'By Design'. I absolutely adore this color combo!
--Revlon 'Scandolous' (out of all my swatches this is my absolute favorite one) If I had to pick one polish to wear for the rest of my life, I would quickly pick this one!
--Pink gradient with purple cheetah spots. This was a "Twin Nail" colaboration with @kats_kreations_
--Sunflower nails(: the only spring nails I have done so far..
--and of course, my Monsters University collaboration with @andreitus_nails

I had to add something to Hard Candy 'Beetle'. I decided to do a simple tape mani.
For this I used two colors from the Color Club In True Fashion collection. The Dark Purple is  Color Club 'By Desgn' and the blue-ish purple is Color Club 'In The Limelight'.

I really love this color combination! I will definitely be trying it a different design with these same colors. (:

Hard Candy

Recently I purchased a set of 8 brand new Hard Candy polishes for $11 on eBay. What a deal!! I got them all in the mail a couple days ago.

So far i have swatched two of the eight, including 'The End' and 'Beetle'.

The End:
This is a gorgeous black! It did take three coats, but it is naturally shiny, so it did not require a topcoat. It also has smooth application.

Beetle:
An absolutely stunning purple-green polish that "changes" color depending on how the light hits in. It's so distracting to look at! This is a mere one coat over "The End'.

What do you guys think? (:

Sunflowers

Lately I've been seeing lots of spring-y nails around, so i wanted to join the club. I decided to do sunflower nails. As a base i used Julep - Susie, which is a beautiful light blue. i used a few different yellows to give the petals depth.
Here's the turn-out:

Over-all I was very happy with them, and I'm sure I'll end up doing sunflower nails again soon.

Twin Nails with @kats_kreations

If you are on Instagram you may have heard of "twin nails", which is when two people agree on a theme and do their nails accordingly. IG user @kats_kreations_ and i collaborated with this tag. We decided on gradient and cheetah print. We also chose the colors pink and purple.

This is my mani:

and here they are side by side:
This tag is so much fun! Not only does it give you a chance to talk to new people, but sometimes you get to try new things. I can't wait until I do more twin nails.
